Hey Gang..
I'll be getting a 1.7.0 installer posted here shortly. While I have your attention I'd like to say a few things.

  • We've changed the license. There has been quite a bit of debate about it, and what we've done I believe meets everyone's needs and concerns. You can see the license here: www.eticketsupport.com/about
  • We've invested a lot of hours and money to get to this release. Version 1.5.7 was an absolute nightmare, and I am very happy to be able to post a replacement for that code.
  • We've posted a new website as part of our ongoing improvements to the eTicket brand. You'll continue to see improvements in many areas here, from the actual eTicket code, to the forums and support.
  • We need experienced coder support to help with any bugs we may have missed in 1.7.0 testing. And I don't mean to look a gift horse in the mouth, but we do want experienced assistance, we don't want to repeat the problems of the past. If you love eTicket and can help us, send me a message.
  • As I previously posted, there is no more support for PHP4. Even Zend has stopped support for 4.. so, you need to abandon it too. We won't be processing any bug or support requests for anything related to v4. So please don't ask us to code anything to make your installation usable. You're free to code whatever you need to make it work yourself.
  • This is will be our last release for at least a month. Unless there is a significant bug that results in a security exploit. We've got something special we are working on to get us to version 2.0.

I would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support and patience with me as I get to know the community. I do appreciate the new relationships and valuable feedback many of you have provided to me. If any of you would like to chat about an idea or anything else interesting, feel free to reach my group at MSN Messenger, at mysaas @ live.com. Don't send me mail here (I never check it), or ask for support questions. Do touch base, let me know how eTicket is treating you and tell me a good story that will make me laugh ;-)
