I am currently using eticket and I have figured out the custom fields and it works fine for my needs now but I was wondering if this functionality would be expanded upon in version 2.0? If so what sort of vision do you see?

I envision an admin feature to allow the customization of forms for each category to add custom fields (txt, drop down etc...) to the ticket submission forms. I am not sure if you are familiar with Wordpress but there is a great plugin called cForms that allows non-programmers/html designers to create very nice forms. Something akin to this would be incredible but it may be out of the scope of eticket when 2.0 is released.

Another area what I wonder about is what sort of API (if any) is in the works to allow 3rd party plugin devlopment for eticket?

Is there coming feature like subcategories?

Main category could be "Software" and after that there could be subcategories like programs (excel, word, powerpoint) where to select right one. That could be very useful for checking how often there is problem in same program.
