I have read http://www.eticketsupport.com/forbidden_and_not_acceptable_errors-t326.0.html and that causes Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@mytechdirect.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

This error occurs when clicking on groups. I need to be able to add groups, but at the moment I cannot. Is version two going to correct some of the current issues?

What is the URL that results when you click on the "Groups?"

Please make sure that "admin_user_group.html.php" and "admin_user_group.php" are in the /inc folder of eTicket.

Can you also provide your Troubleshooter output?

Thanks!

Both files are in the inc folder.

Regarding the troubleshooter, where can I find it? I did read the read me first prior to posting, but I never could find the file. A search produces only the same link I had already read. http://www.eticketsupport.com/installation_help_software_support/please_read_before_posting_a_question-t229.0.html

Thank you kindly for your time.

The troubleshooter is on the eTicket Support home page -- with the download of eTicket.

Okay...for sanities sake, I've attached my groups files that need to be in the /inc folder.  Please try these out since I know that they work for me.

What!?

Do you get any error messages or some other form of error?  Have you checked the Apache log or other logs that might shed light on why you can't login now?

Those files are NOT specific and are based off of the DB.  Therefore, swapping them out should have no affect.

Just out of curiosity, what platform are you running eTicket on?

Sorry, I was using the wrong user name.

The result of using your files produces the same result,

As stated to you in my PM:

The 406 error is caused because by the HTTP 1.1 error of 406 and states:

=====
10.4.7 406 Not Acceptable

The resource identified by the request is only capable of generating response entities which have content characteristics not acceptable according to the accept headers sent in the request.

Unless it was a HEAD request, the response SHOULD include an entity containing a list of available entity characteristics and location(s) from which the user or user agent can choose the one most appropriate. The entity format is specified by the media type given in the Content-Type header field. Depending upon the format and the capabilities of the user agent, selection of the most appropriate choice MAY be performed automatically. However, this specification does not define any standard for such automatic selection.

      Note: HTTP/1.1 servers are allowed to return responses which are
      not acceptable according to the accept headers sent in the
      request. In some cases, this may even be preferable to sending a
      406 response. User agents are encouraged to inspect the headers of
      an incoming response to determine if it is acceptable.

If the response could be unacceptable, a user agent SHOULD temporarily stop receipt of more data and query the user for a decision on further actions.
=====

Therefore, once the 406 error is resolved, then I believe that everything will work for you.

Does this only happen with IE 8?
