after a tought time on windows i moved the script to a linux setup.   Almost everything is running well except for the cron behavior.

1st -  the automail.php works well cause if i paste http://www.mywebsite.com/helpdesk/automail.php in a browser and hit enter, it pulls in the emails

2nd -  the cron must be running fine (/usr/bin/php /home/user/public_html/helpdesk/automail.php)  since as soon as i rename automail.php to anything else i start getting errors.

but ne emails come in (unless i do like in 1)

any thoughs anyone ...  if no ... any idea how to get the script to pull in the emails from the login in the admin panel (it seems this function was removes lately)  ... i would mind the wait.

Are you using 1.7.2 because there were some minor issues with extremly long load times if you used automail.php as a login module. We had sample runs that ended up reaching memory limits. Also please post your crontab. And yes automail.php should remain named automail.php

If running automail.php through your webbrowser works, but not via cronjob, then it sounds like you are having the same problem as I did.

See my post here for how I resolved this:
