Make a copy of the eticket sub folder inside the themes folder. Rename it to whatever you like, "mynutheme" then go to the images folder  and open up your favorite graphics tool.  bgbar , logo , and poweredby are the 3 main graphics used. Try to keep the same color schema, bgbar is the graphic for the long horizontal bars so make sure your gradient is correct. For a cool effect do the gradient from  corner to corner, it will cause a curved effect. after you are through copy your nuthemes folder into your working themes folder and it will show up in  preferences in the web interface. The code is easier than the graphics, so have fun. Grin

Is theme creation roughly the same still (latest version)?

It looks like it is hard to modify core look & feel like the colors used, background elements, font choices.   It doesn't appear that any of this is referenced in a CSS based format but instead in the various *. html. php files, correct?

That's correct.  All theme files are located in themes/eticket/.  If you create a new folder and copy all of the files from the original eTicket theme folder, then modify, you'll find the option to select which theme you want to use in the eTicket preferences.

Once the changes have been made for 1.7.3, it is reported that all future eTicket versions will support the new theme layout, thus preventing you from having to modify the whole theme again.

You sure on that one, shouldn't it change once in eTicket 2.0? As I once remember a post stating that it'll change massively in majority of the areas.

The information about the fact that themes wouldn't change was early in the 1.7.0 release realm.

Of course, after having seen screenshots of 2.0, there's no way that the 2.0 version will support the 1.7.3 or prior themes. Sad
