Hi guys.  I'd like to make a small hack to my eticket version.  I'd like to allow standard users (not logged in, but those who access their tickets with email an ticket number) to open their OWN attachment.  I've been scanning the code but it's kinda complex for my level of PHP and could not find a clue about how to add the link to the file.

Any tip about this regard would be GREAT  Grin

Thanks!!

What do you mean by "open their OWN attachment" exactly?  You don't open attachments with eTicket, you open tickets.  Attachments are links that point to files in the browser and can be opened by, well, anyone with view access to the ticket.

You are right.  Technically, links are not shown when a standard user (with no login) access a ticket opened by himself and with an attachment uploaded also by him.

So, you want the ability to allow the customer to view the attachment that they uploaded?  Is that correct?

Exactly.  Many customers upload stuff and they use the ticket as a repository, it's very annoying having to do the follow up and not being able to check a file uploaded months ago which you lost somewhere in your hardrive.

I don't permit users to upload to the server, but to my knowledge, as long as the file resides in the attachments folder, and set to 777, it should be fully accessible to everyone...
